Our Robot 'Zippy'
Our Powerplay Robot!
Our team had a robot named 'Shawn' during the season. We have had to slowly take it apart due to needing his parts. Currently, we have a robot called 'Small.' It has no special parts, so we have modeled Shawn's past elements below.
'Zippy' Now
For our FTC Robot, we used the robot below, 'Zippy.' It worked well (for the most part) and it took us to the semi-finals in the Inter League Tournament. We are currently moving on to regionals.
'Zippy' Before
The picture here is our model of 'Zippy' from Fusion 360. It can be explained in parts easily.
1. The linear slide and claw were to move game elements onto any size pole or ground junction.
5. We welded the chassis custom. It is made out of hollow metal spray-painted black.
3. The wheels were switched to black Mecanum wheels to help us strafe.
4. The plexiglass rectangle is where all of the electronics were placed.
